A surge of galactic energy is sweeping through the city as the FILMharmonique Orchestra invites audiences to experience the magic of Star Wars: A New Hope in cine-concert format!
The full length movie with live orchestra returns to Place des Arts on April 10 and 11 at Salle Wilfrid Pelletier, transforming the legendary film into a breathtaking live symphonic event.
In a performance charged with the spirit of adventure and destiny, the 2 hours film unfolded on the big screen while the orchestra performed the iconic score of John Williams live in perfect synchronization. Conducted by Erik Oschner ( mini glowing lightsaber batons in hand ), the music ignited every moment with power, emotion, and timeless grandeur.
Several audience members arrived in full costume, eagerly expressing their excitement as each main character appeared on screen, cheering during battles and triumphs, and laughing at the droids’ many antics, all contributing to a vibrant and joyful sense of community.
A cultural force for more than four decades, Star Wars continues to inspire generations with its mythic storytelling, unforgettable characters, and groundbreaking cinematic vision from George Lucas.
Synopsis
Set in a galaxy under the grip of a tyrannical Empire, a young farm boy named Luke Skywalker begins a journey that will change the fate of the universe. Joined by a wise mentor, a daring smuggler, and a courageous princess, he discovers the power of the Force and rises against overwhelming odds to bring hope to a desperate rebellion.
Audiences of all ages are invited to feel the thrill, the emotion, and the wonder of this cinematic masterpiece in its original English version with French subtitles, presented in a fully remastered format.
