Mask Mandate Lifted in New York

New York’s indoor mask mandate for stores, businesses and buildings open to the public was lifted this week by Governor Kathy Hochul. The Governor says with a 93% drop in COVID infection rates since the peak of the omicron variant the first week in January, it’s time to end the statewide mask mandate. The mandate will stay in place for hospitals, nursing homes, and schools, for now.
Hochul says she’ll consider lifting mask requirements for schools in early March. Watch Governor Hochul’s Announcement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFDrA9hJe9c&ab_channel=GovernorKathyHochul
