Passion and imagination drive the creative team behind the 29th Montreal Chamber Music Festival. The multi-award winning event brings musicians from North America and overseas to Montreal each year, to enchant audiences with exquisite music in beautiful settings.
The festival connects young musicians with established performers, as they embrace the passion and imagination required to produce spellbinding music. Enjoy this preview of the festival courtesy of Spotlight producer Paul Larson and festival founder Denis Brott C.M.Festival highlights include all six of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos, an evening of British music, a special blend of Klezmer, Jazz and Gershwin, and an imaginative, musical tale about German composers Clara and Robert Schumann and their protégé Johannes Brahms.
More than 50 musicians will participate in the festival this year. They come from Europe, the United States, Quebec and other parts of Canada. Among them, 21 will appear for the first time at the Montreal Chamber Music Festival.
Festival events begin June 13th and last until June 23rd. The venues include the Salle Bourgie at the Musee des Beaux Arts, and the Maison Symphonique at Place des Arts. For more information about performers, tickets and free concerts, head to festivalmontreal.org.
