The holiday season is here, and with it comes one of Montreal’s most cherished festive traditions: the Lyric Theatre Singers’ Candlelight Christmas!
From December 12 to 15, under the direction of their esteemed Artistic and Musical Director Bob Bachelor, the Lyric Theatre Singers will once again light up the stage with heartwarming holiday music at this beloved annual event.
A Joyous Celebration Through Song
Featuring a 47-member choir and a diverse program of Christmas music from around the world and across genres, the concerts promise something for everyone. Whether you’re seeking joyous celebration, nostalgic reflection, or lighthearted fun, this enchanting musical experience is sure to bring a smile to your face and warm your heart.
To elevate the performances, the choir will be accompanied by five exceptionally talented musicians:

Peter Colantonio (percussions)
Zoé Dupont-Foisy (piano and rehearsal pianist)
A Storied Tradition
Founded in 1990 by Bob Bachelor, the Lyric Theatre Singers have become an integral part of Montreal’s arts and culture scene. This year’s performance celebrates not only the choir’s decades of excellence but also the dedication of three singers—Marlene Schwartz, Hélène Charbonneau, and Gloria Aronoff—who have been with the group since its inception.
Spreading Joy Beyond the Stage
The Lyric Theatre Singers are not only about creating music but also about making a difference in the community. In the spirit of the season, they will be accepting cash donations on behalf of The Depot Community Food Centre, extending the impact of their performances to those in need.
