This week we invited the two candidates running for the New York State Senate 45th District Seat to participate in an hour-long debate in our studio at Mountain Lake PBS.
Incumbent Republican State Senator Dan Stec, and his challenger, Democrat Jean Lapper were asked questions by our panel of journalists, Pat Bradley from WAMC Public Radio and Cara Chapman with North Country Public Radio.
Some of the questions for the candidates were also submitted by viewers.
We partnered once again with our friends with the League of Women Voters of the North Country, who were our official timers.
The debate will be broadcast at least 6 times on Mountain Lake PBS beginning with the premiere on Friday, October 21st at 8pm.
There will be two airings in evening primetime, Friday (10/21) at 8pm, and Saturday (10/22) at 7pm.
