Against the stunning backdrop of Charlevoix’s breathtaking landscapes, this extraordinary show, directed by the talented Isabelle Chassé, who also serves as co-artistic director, invites you to a realm where acrobatics and creativity intertwine.
“Éclats” serves as a heartfelt tribute to the very essence of Charlevoix – a place steeped in heritage and alive with tales waiting to be told.
A dynamic ensemble of a dozen remarkable artists will grace the stage, conjuring up astonishing hand-to-hand performances, enchanting fabric manipulations, playful clown antics, mesmerizing juggling displays, and daring feats on the wire.
The individual acts proudly embodies the unique flair of the Quebec troupe, a testament to their unwavering dedication to artistic ingenuity.
Born in response to the call of the Hôtel-Casino de Charlevoix, “Éclats” was conceived to resonate harmoniously with the Fééries de Charlevoix, a concurrent celebration of the region’s enchantment. The allure of the show extends beyond the extraordinary skills of its performers; it’s the distinctive visual presentation format that casts a spell.
The visionary and elegant marquee, that seamlessly merges art and architecture, was exclusively designed for “Éclats” by none other than the acclaimed Quebec firm Unisson, known for their collaboration with the iconic Madonna.
With its central stage that commands attention and a seating capacity of 680, this purpose-built marvel stands as a testament to creativity and engineering excellence. According to creator Mr. Granger, “The structure was designed to be a cohesive whole, meticulously crafted for the show.”
The symphony of “Éclats” transcends the visual spectacle, resonating with captivating musical compositions. Raphaël D’Amours and Colin Gagné, renowned for their work on projects like “Serge Fiori, Seul ensemble,” “En panne,” and “Passagers,” have masterfully woven auditory magic that complements the visual splendor.
Completing the immersive experience, the intricate costume designs by Elen Ewing breathe life into the characters, enhancing their stories.
*** Éclats should be presented in Charlevoix for at least three summers, confirmed the producer, who has big plans for this show.

Soak in some local culture and art at the Musee de Charlevoix
From June 16, 2023, the prominent Charlevoix Museum unveiled a significant exhibit envisioned by the renowned artist Jean Paul Riopelle’s daughter, Yseult Riopelle, as a heartfelt homage to her father.
The showcase pays homage to Jean Paul Riopelle’s affinity for popular art, sparked by his fascination with hunting, fishing, and nature.
These passions inspired Riopelle to craft artworks from discovered or repurposed objects, such as canoes, tables, rackets and other objects, ingeniously reinterpreting their significance.
Other exhibits include the permanent exhibit : “Charlevoix Retold” that features popular art, household items and wood sculptures.
