Groupe RUBBERBANDANCE
This high energy troupe featuring ten athletic performers accompanied by live music, brings to life the signature movement style of Mexican Americain choreographer Victor Quijada in is latest work: Vraiment doucement ; a flamboyant tribute to bodies in transformation.
Quijada’s highly unique style pushes the boundaries of the dancers’ physical capabilities by fusing the spontaneous athleticism of hip hop and the precision of ballet and contemporary dance.
We feel a sense of urgency and speed as the dancers embody rebellion, revolution and set the path for a new beginning.
The culmination of a 15 year creative process, Vraiment doucement looks resolutely to the future. In this work, Quijada and his company are at the height of their art.
