The 2 candidates running for Mayor in Plattsburgh met with and took questions from students and members of the community at an event at Olive Ridely’s Restaurant in downtown Plattsburgh. Paid parking downtown and the Durkee Street Project were among the questions for the candidates.
The event, called Late Night for the Planet, was created by SUNY Plattsburgh professor Curt Gervich to try to get students engaged in the community, city politics, and the election. We talked with the organizers of the event about getting students engaged and to the polls.
