Lake Champlain/Missisquoi Bay Pollution

Runoff from farm fields & other pollution combine to produce Blue-Green Algae blooms in Missisquoi Bay and the northern tip of Lake Champlain. A new study by the International Joint Commission was unveiled at public hearings on both sides of the border this week, and includes recommendations to try to solve the problem.
