Kindness Week on PBS KIDS

Kindness Week on PBS KIDS begins October 1st!

Throughout Bullying Prevention Month, we’re celebrating kindness, empathy and inclusion. PBS Kids will be airing episodes of ARTHUR, DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD, and other classic kids shows centered around kindness, empathy and inclusion.

Kindness, empathy and inclusion are three key themes that will affect your child throughout school, and their lives. Tune in throughout Bullying Prevention Month to get the conversation started with your child.

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood

Episode 131: Neighbor Day

Neighbor Day
In this half-hour special Daniel learns that it feels good to be neighborly and that one kind act can lead to many. His first good deed starts a chain reaction of kindness all around the Neighborhood, resulting in the declaration of “Neighbor Day!”

Learning Goals
The learning goal of this episode is to help children understand that doing something kind for others can make them feel good too.

The strategy song of this episode is: Do something nice for your neighbor, do something nice for your friend.
