Justice & Benevolence | Northern Lights Choir | Notes

Composer Glenn McClure and Northern Lights Choir founder Helen Demong are kindred musical souls. On May 8, their talents unite again with a performance in Saranac Lake of McClure’s folk opera Promised Land, telling the true tale of an often-overlooked chapter in the history of the Adirondacks and the fight for racial justice.

The Northern Lights Choir, conducted by Helen Demong, presents their spring concert, featuring the Adirondack folk opera Promised Land by Glenn McClure, on May 8 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake. Learn more at facebook.com/northernlightschoir
