As part of the statewide vaccine rollout, every region of New York has a “vaccine network” that’s overseeing the distribution of the vaccine. In the North Country that regional vaccine network is based at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh. And one of the components of that network is the Health Equity Task Force. John Bernardi, the CEO of The United Way of the Adirondack Region is the Chair of the task force, and joined us to talk about how the coalition is working to make sure everyone, including underserved residents living in remote areas of the North Country, can get the vaccine.
