Jackie Robinson International Golf Tournament

The Black Academic Scholarship Fund hosts the Jackie Robinson International Golf Tournament each year to raise money for its scholarship program. The Mission of BASF is to provide financial assistance to visible minority students who are in good academic standing and actively pursuing a course of study at an accredited institution. BASF, which has been active in the Montreal community since 1991, aims to enhance the economic status of the community by providing more opportunities for students to achieve their educational and career goals.

The tournament honors Jackie Robinson, whose outstanding contribution and behavior, as a member of the Montreal Royals baseball club, led him to break the color barrier in major league baseball. Videography by Andrew Baker. Editing by Mikaela Clary and Andrew Baker.
