Richelle Gregory, the Director of Community Services in Clinton County joins us to talk about Governor Hochul’s proposals to expand mental health services and clinics in schools across the state.
She also talks about opioid misuse addiction treatment and prevention programs available in Clinton County that are receiving money from New York State’s Opioid Settlement Fund. She also talks about a new suicide prevention mural that’s planned for the City of Plattsburgh, as well as new crisis intervention teams that are working with law enforcement officers in the City and County to help connect those in need with mental health services.
And, like a new 24-hour crisis center that has opened in Malone, Plattsburgh is hoping to open a 24-hour emergency mental health and opioid addiction crisis center before the end of the year.
