Infrastructure Bill Passes

North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik voted against President Biden’s $1-trillion-dollar Infrastructure Bill this past week, which passed in the U-S House of Representatives. In a statement, Representative Stefanik said the bill “prioritizes Green New Deal policies over traditional infrastructure, such as roads and bridges.” The bill includes $110- billion to improve roads and bridges across the nation, $47-billion to help communities prepare for the worsening impacts of climate change, and $65-billion to boost broadband.
