Incarcerated Artists Display Works at John Brown Farm

Artists who are incarcerated here in the North Country are showing their works for the first time outside of a NYS Correctional Facility at John Brown Farm State Historic Site in Lake Placid. The exhibit curated by the Adirondack Center for Writing and Federal Correctional Institute Ray Brook features 25 works of art created by incarcerated artists. The paintings and pottery were all inspired by classic Adirondack landscapes and well-known figures. All of the works are up for auction to benefit the Adirondack Center for Writing which has presented a creative writing program at FCI Ray Brook since 2002, making it the longest running “arts in corrections” program in the nation.
