North Country Honor Flight sends 15 women veterans to Washington D.C.

The North Country Honor Flight sent 30 more veterans to Washington, D.C. this past week to visit the war memorials built in their honor, including one flight that included all female veterans. The 15 women veterans served in Vietnam, Desert Storm and Afghanistan. Among the group was Mary Barber, from Keeseville, New York, who served during the Vietnam War as an Army field medic & operating room specialist.

The other flight of 15 vets included 3 World War 2 Veterans. Over the past decade, North Country Honor Flight has flown more than 700 veterans to visit the memorials in Washington, D.C.
