Next Saturday, May 18th is Armed Forces Day, one of the days when our nation honors our military heroes who have served. One group that takes that mission to heart is the North Country Honor Flight, which over the past 6 years, has flown nearly 400 veterans to Washington to visit the war memorials built in their honor.
This week, as the North Country Honor Flight gears up for the first flight of 2019, and the 27th flight, photojournalist Michael Hansen and host Thom Hallock share the segment they videotaped last fall, when they followed Flight #26, a group of 15 veterans from the North Country and Vermont on their Honor Flight.

On our website you’ll find more of our interviews with the veterans who made the trip, their families and some of the volunteers, including Scott Aubin, who you may remember from our story two years ago.
