Find the Key: Halloween themed Escape Room challenge!

An escape room is a timed adventure quest game in which team members have to resolve a series of enigmas, riddles and puzzles with the help of found clues, given hints and a swiftly developed strategy to unveil the secrets and hopefully escape in time!

Find the Key is one of Montreal’s many escape room companies that offers teams of 2-6 participants’ scenarios with multi-sensory immersive game experiences for all ages and levels, that include a Haunted Pirate Ship, a creepy Cabin in the Woods, a Crime scene and Illusionist room.

Before your game starts, you may choose one vial that either gives you extra time, an extra clue or a 10 seconds virtual reality sneak peek of your challenge. Choose wisely !

With a few friends, I recently tried their Halloween themed CABIN In the WOODS scenario that starts off with participants locked up and chained in an actual wooden cabin.  45 minutes goes by swiftly as our team tried to work collectively to escape.

The realistic décor, augmented by smoke machines, flickering lights and themed music, really enhanced the overall gameplay.

Escape rooms make excellent team bonding activities and present fun, mind boggling challenges overall.

On October 28th and 29th, Find the Key will offer a special MAZE Project experience in which participants will have to infiltrate and search through the different universes in order to find the right formula to save the world from a the deadly F virus…

Beware, the usually friendly, hint giving game masters may have been infected…

The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Imperial Cinema

Let’s do the TIME WARP again!

Come join the madness this year, at the Rocky Horror Picture Show!

The classic cult musical starring Tim Curry, Richard O’Brien, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Meat Loaf will be screened at the gorgeous, restored Imperial Theater with a simultaneous live cast performance.

Experience firsthand an annual tradition that brings together an enthusiastic costumed crowd and talented actors that will draw you into the realm of Sci-fi, glam-rock, and sensual daydreams to treasure forever.

Participants are welcome to dress up, dance, do callbacks and bring props (toast, small water gun, newspaper and toilet rolls!)

Although the film is rated PG, I would recommend the late 11 pm show for mature audiences only, as the costumes tend to be raunchier.

Inspired by the desire to utilize contemporary choreography as a means of engagement with “marginalized” people, INDEEP invites you into an experiential, durational encounter with 10 individuals, all blindfolded and cordoned off together for 10 hours. –  11:30am to 9:30pm
