The Montreal Classical Orchestra (OCM) is back this Holiday season with its long-awaited annual celebration: Handel's Messiah! Get ready to enjoy the glorious sounds of the orchestra, a wonderful quartet of soloists and a choir that will bask audience members in a merry Holiday spirit this Tuesday, December 7th, at 7:30 p.m., at the Basilica of Saint Joseph's Oratory on Mount Royal . For those who cannot make the live concert, a webcast will also be available live and replayed throughout December 21st. Maestro Boris Brott and the OCM will be accompanied by soprano Jacqueline Woodley, mezzo-soprano Marie-Andrée Mathieu, tenor Antoine Bélanger and baritone Neil Craighead. The professional vocal ensemble Les Rugissants will also be in the cast, while guest conductor Xavier Brossard-Ménard will conduct the first part of the concert. As part of its 82nd season entitled Women of Exception, the OCM pays tribute, at each concert, to a great woman outside the world of music who has marked the community in her own way. In the early evening, the CMO will pay tribute to Suzanne Fortier, President and Vice-Chancellor of McGill University.
