New York Governor Andrew Cuomo outlined the State’s coronavirus response plan for 2021. The Governor says the rollout of vaccine has been slower than expected, so the state is stepping in to speed up getting them to more nursing homes and working on plans to set up thousands of sites across the state to distribute doses to the public. The Governor was also critical of some hospitals that he says aren’t giving out the vaccine fast enough. That hasn’t been a problem at the hospitals in the North Country, as of this week, both Adirondack Health and UVM Health Network’s CVPH have already administered their supplies of vaccine.
