On November 3rd the first edition of Cosmopolitan Fashion Week will be held at the new Wilder Building (1435 rue de Bleury) located downtown at Place des Festivals.
More than just a fashion show, Cosmopolitan Fashion Week is an international event that promotes networking and commerce by incorporating exhibits, conferences, music and night life with local and international DJs.
This glamorous event is a true celebration and reflection of Montreal’s cultural diversity in fashion. Over a dozen designers from the Americas, Europe and Africa will present their latest collections on the runway with their main objective being to present trendy fashions without borders; current, cosmopolitan and open to the world.

Ready to party for a good cause?
Type 1 Diabetes affects over 300,000 Canadians, a number that is steadily increasing. T1D is not the result of eating too much sugar or being overweight or sedentary. T1D is not preventable and its cause is unknown.
JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Their research goal is to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease.
JDRF is pleased to host their 14th annual DIA-BEAT-IT Gala in support of Type 1 diabetes (T1D) research which will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Le Windsor Ballrooms
Expect an elegant evening of over 350 guests who will enjoy fine food, cocktails and live entertainment.
Funds raised during the evening will help support the most innovative research to better treat, prevent and eventually cure T1D.

Next Saturday Nov. 17. 2018, under the patronage of Austrian Ambassador Stephan Pehringer you are invited to experience the timeless elegance and refined European glamour of the annual Viennese Ball to be held at 7 pm, in the grand ballroom of the Montreal Hotel Marriott Château Champlain.
This annual charity ball, sponsored by the Austrian Society of Montreal, unites glamorous entertainment and splendid European tradition while fundraising for worthy youth causes.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Austrian Society of Montreal and this year’s ball promises to be more spectacular than ever as they celebrate their Diamond Jubilee.
Elegant Debutantes at the Vienna BallAlong with three live orchestras, a ballet and operatic performance; door prizes, a midnight casino, and a silent auction, attendees can also expect the following activities:
19h00 – Serenaded by violinists playing Strauss Waltzes, the ladies in their gorgeous ball gowns descend the grand staircase on the arm of their escorts who are elegantly clad in tuxes or tails to the Viger room for a champagne reception.
21h00 – After the first waltz presentation of the debutantes and their escorts, the dance floor officially opens with the words “Alles Walzer”, pronounced by the master of ceremonies. This is the traditional and famous German phrase used for inviting all to the dance floor. It means “Everyone waltz”.
21h15 – Following the lavish opening ceremonies of the ball that include the presentation of the debutantes and their partners as well as their choreographed dance performance, you will be treated to a sumptuous dinner, expertly prepared by the chefs of the Marriott Hotel Château Champlain.
After dinner, attendees can try their luck at the adjoining casino and also partake in drinking and high spirited singing at the festive Viennese Heuriger wine tavern until the wee hours of the morning.
