The one and only debate for the U.S. Senate Race here in New York between incumbent Kirsten Gillibrand, who is seeking a third term, and her republican challenger Michael Sapraicone was held this week in Albany and broadcast by Spectrum News.
The candidates have agreed to just one debate hosted by Spectrum News and held at Page Hall on the campus of the University of Albany. They were asked about a Siena Research Poll that shows 51% of New Yorkers think the state is on the wrong track. The 2 were also asked about the state of the economy, and the spike in prices & inflation in recent years. And both of the candidates also weighed in on Proposition 1, the Equal Rights Amendment that’s on the ballot in New York this November. The candidates were also questioned about immigration.
