Fort Ticonderoga is gearing up for the 250th anniversary commemoration of the American Revolution, featuring a reenactment of Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys, alongside Benedict Arnold, capturing the Fort from the British in May of 1775.
The reenactment will take place from May 9th to 11th, with a groundbreaking exhibit opening on May 3rd, showcasing nearly 100 never-before-seen Revolutionary War artifacts. Among the highlights are two rare military uniforms, including one believed to be the oldest Revolutionary War coat still in existence and the only French officer’s uniform from that era in North America.
These pieces will be part of the new exhibit “A Revolutionary Anthology.” This event is part of Fort Ticonderoga’s two-year “REAL TIME REVOLUTION” initiative, marking the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
Tickets for the NO QUARTER reenactment are nearly sold out. You can learn more at Fort Ticonderoga’s website.
