Flex Your Superpowers of Science on National Super Hero Day!

Be a hero – today and every day – with some help from Hero Elementary!

National Super Hero Day is Wednesday, April 28 and in honor of this power packed celebration we are highlighting some fun activities and educational resources from the PBS KIDS show Hero Elementary.

Hero Elementary is a school for budding superheroes, where kids learn to master their innate powers, like flying and teleportation, while exploring science along the way. The series stars a team of super students called Sparks’ Crew: Lucita Sky, AJ Gadgets, Sara Snap, and Benny Bubbles, led by their quirky and enthusiastic teacher, Mr. Sparks. Together they help people, problem solve, and try to make the world a better place!

But when their imperfect powers aren’t up to a task, they look to their other powers — the Superpowers of Science — to help them investigate, observe, make predictions, and figure out a solution. These kids may be super human, but it’s science that makes humans truly super!

You can watch Hero Elementary at 10 AM, and again at 8 PM, weekdays on Mountain Lake PBS and PBS Kids 24/7. Or stream it anytime, online with PBS KIDS and by using the PBS Kids video app!
