Another beautiful and historic farm on Lake Champlain is hosting some talented painters this summer. The Fisk Farm on Isle La Motte is known for the prehistoric fossils discovered in a near-by quarry. The restored horse and carriage barn on the farm is also an art gallery, and all this summer painters from New York and Vermont are showing their works, including this week, painter Ernest Haas.
Haas is known for his paintings of ships and lighthouses on Lake Champlain, as well as some of the historic shipwrecks that sit on the bottom of the lake.
You can meet Ernest Haas and see his works at the Fisk Farm on West Shore Drive in Isle La Motte, Vermont. The art barn is open daily from 10 until 5. The Ernest Haas exhibit runs through next Wednesday July 31st.
