A sign of hope, as health care workers across New York and the North Country, rolled up their sleeves to get the vaccine to protect them from COVID-19.
An ICU Nurse and Pulmonary doctor were the first to get the vaccine at the University of Vermont’s CVPH Medical Center. Frontline healthcare workers and staff & residents of nursing homes will be the first to get vaccinated. Then essential workers & the general public beginning early next year, according to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who this week also announced that CVPH will coordinate the distribution of the vaccines in the North Country. About one thousand of the Pfizer vaccines were due to arrive in Clinton County this week.
