Find Inspiration, Confidence & Friendship at the ACW High School Writing Retreat!

Three incredible poets, two unforgettable days at Paul Smith’s College, and hundreds of inspired students!

November 2nd and 3rd, from 9am-3pm, the Adirondack Center for Writing presents the High School Writing Retreat at Paul Smith’s College. Students will enjoy poetry performances and learn to supercharge their writing guided by workshop leaders and renowned performance poets Jon Sands, José Olivarez, and Roya Marsh.

Register for two days of writing workshops, epic performances, and meeting new friends and fellow writers interested in growing their literary community and finding inspiration in peers. This is a perfect opportunity to include on college applications.

The retreat is free and open to any student in grades 9-12, including public, private and homeschool students. It will be held in-person at Paul Smith’s College (7777 NY-30, Paul Smiths, NY 12970). Schools and/or parents are responsible for students’ transportation and lunch.

No experience necessary, and no fee to attend.

Can’t get enough great writing? Catch electrifying performances by each one of these award-winning poets during Poetry on Broadway, November 2nd from 7-8pm, at the Adirondack Center for Writing. Books will be for sale, and a book-signing will follow the performances.
