Filmmakers Revisit Irene

2 Filmmakers from Keeseville, NY have created a film that looks back on the impact Irene had 10-years ago. Carol Blakeslee-Collin & her husband Jimm talked to residents this summer whose homes and businesses were damaged or destroyed in the storm. Carol & Jimm’s home, right near the Ausable River in Keeseville, wasn’t damaged during Irene, but Carol’s family’s home, where she grew up downstate, was flooded by Irene. Before hitting the Adirondacks, the storm dumped about a foot of rain in the Catskills, including the village of Windham, triggering massive flooding, and leaving homes, including the Blakeslee homestead, in ruins.
