A long-awaited feasibility study on the possible new uses for the Clinton Community College campus overlooking Lake Champlain has been released to the public.
Consultants have come up with 3 options, the first would include an indoor museum and nature center that focuses on the lake’s ecology and history. It would also include both an indoor & outdoor adventure park with lodging, glamping and conference space, as well as an Adirondack Food & Beverage Festival Village that would feature local food, craft beer & live music.
The second option includes much of the first but would also be a hub for environmental research & innovation & light industrial manufacturing. And the third option would include eco-tourism, lodging & cottages, a town green, an on-site restaurant featuring local cuisine, and possibly housing down the road.
The IDA & County will work with the consultants to finalize an option & and then release it for the public to weigh in.
