Spring is officially here! Along with the much-anticipated warmer weather is a wide array of diverse fashion events happening around the city that are sure to incite you to step outside and be inspired.
11th edition of Fashion Preview
On March 20th, the 11th glamorous edition of Fashion Preview will be held at the Société des Arts Technologiques [SAT]. This fashion forward event is a meeting point for models, designers, photographers, buyers and avid fans alike to marvel at the latest collections to hit the runway.
ORIGINALITY BEFORE EVERYTHING. Founded in 2014 by Emanuela Lolli, Fashion Preview is a bi-annual fashion showcase that promotes local Quebec Designers while providing an intimate venue for professionals in the design and fashion realm to network.
Beyond the usual fashion presentations, the designers of prêt à porter and accessories choose to express their talent through more innovative and avant-garde shows and staging.
The next show on March 20 will feature the creations of:

- Janie McLaughlin
- Visual Process
The show will also present the work of various fashion schools:
- Ecole Superieure de Mode ESG UQAM
- Cégep Marie-Victorin
- LaSalle College
Creators, retailers, the media and the general public are encouraged to use the hashtag #mtlstyle supporting mmode whose aim is to shine a spotlight on local fashion companies and to promote the local Montreal fashion identity.

Thierry Mugler: Couturissisme: A MONTREAL WORLD PREMIERE
From March 2nd, 2019 to September 8th, 2019
The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is proud to present the very first exhibition on the work of multi-disciplinary French artist Thierry Mugler displayed throughout various immersive galleries designed in collaboration by talented artist and set designers, including Michel Lemieux, Philipp Fürhofer and Rodeo FX.
Visitors will get to admire unpublished documents, sketches and over 140 curated garments on display reflecting the life of the visionary couturier, director, photographer and perfumer – by revisiting his prêt-à-porter and haute couture creations made between 1973 and 2001 – most of which are being shown for the first time !
Your admission ticket to the special Mugler exhibition, allows you to admire over one hundred photographs taken by world-renowned fashion photographers such as Helmut Newton, Sarah Moon, Pierre et Gilles, David LaChapelle, Paolo Roversi, Herb Ritts, Dominique Issermann, Guy Bourdin and Richard Avedon among others who have captured Muglers magical work as well as to continue your visit with the exhibition Montreal Couture, presented alongside Thierry Mugler: Couturissime .
