Internationally renowned cellist Denis Brott is familiar to our viewers as the director of the Montreal Chamber Music Festival, but at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brott suddenly had issues to deal with that were even more intense than coordinating a large festival with musicians from all over the world. The musician was facing his own mortality.

In mid-March of 2020, Brott had one of the earliest cases of COVID-19 requiring hospitalization in Montreal.
