For its Montreal premiere, L’Air du Temps takes a bilingual look back upon the past 250 years of western music, from Baroque to hip-hop and from the French Revolution to the digital revolution.

L’Air du Temps opens the 24th anniversary season of the Montreal Chamber Music Festival. Under the title ‘Beethoven chez nous !” , the festival includes a program that highlights thecomplete Beethoven Violin Sonatas performed over three evenings by 2019 Grammy winner James Ehnes and the nine Beethoven Symphonies as transcribed for solo piano by Franz Liszt, performed by six outstanding pianists from around the world !
