British Military Encampment: 27th Inniskilling Regiment of Foot
Saturday, October 9th, 10 am-4 pm, and Sunday, October 10th, 10 am-2 pm at Crown Point State Historic Site.
Throughout the weekend the 27th Regiment of Foot will perform the manual of arms, drill, and demonstrate the weapons and tactics used by armies during the war. Cooking demonstrations and other displays of period life will be on hand for visitors to enjoy.
Activities Will Include
A talk, “Life of a British Solder”, presented at 11 am each day in the camp.
Military drill and musket demonstration held in camp each day at 1 pm.
Guided walking tours offered at noon and 2 pm, Saturday and Sunday.
Reacreation of the lives of British soldiers and their families fighting the French and their indigenous allies during the French and Indian war by the The 27th, or Inniskilling Regiment of Foot.
The 27th regiment of Foot is headquartered in Salem NY and has members in NY, VT, MA, and Quebec.
