A Stroke of Genius! DIVINA DALÍ announces exhibit extension until November 28 at the Grand Quay of the Port of Montreal

October 22 November 28

Montreal, October 23, 2021 – Exhibit ideator Félix Bélanger extends for one additional month the immersive, surrealist experience DIVINA DALÍ at the Grand Quay of the Port of Montreal (Old Port). “Local audiences have until November 28th to visit us. Any later and they will have missed their chance, as DIVINA DALÍ will have begun its great world tour,” announces Mr. Bélanger, founder of La Girafe en feu. “We already have requests from presenters around the globe. The exhibition piques one’s curiosity, and we are very grateful for this interest. But who can really be surprised? After all, this exhibit brings together two geniuses: Salvador Dalí here meets the great Italian poet Dante Alighieri.”

Visitors of DIVINA DALÍ have given no shortage of touching praise following their experience. According to many, the exhibit revealed new and previously unknown facets of the versatile painter’s talent. For others, the Dalinian way of taking them on a journey into the unconscious, while making them experience a wide range of emotions, was fascinating. Even the Italian and American press spoke of this great premiere. This ambitious and truly unprecedented event will remain in the hearts and minds of Montreal for a long time to come.

DIVINA DALÍ is made possible thanks to the contributions of Raynald Michaud, curator and museologist, and the generosity of Frank Hunter, international expert and official archivist of Salvador Dalí’s works.

DIVINA DALÍ tells the story of humanity, imagined by Dante and illustrated by one of the greatest masters of surrealism, Salvador Dalí. At DIVINA DALÍ, the visitor is invited to embark on a journey into the inner self – an experience that is both universal and timeless. Stepping foot into this adventure, the visitor succumbs to three worlds: Hell, Purgatory and Paradise. In fact, the visitor has received here a singular invitation that appeals to the imagination and arouses the most magnificent emotions. Seven hundred years may separate the great Salvador Dalí from his Italian inspiration, but this exhibit offers the extraordinary opportunity to see the works of these giants meet. DIVINA DALÍ, which premiered on July 16th, is extended at the Grand Quay of the Port of Montreal until November 28th. The exhibit will then travel to Toronto, arriving just in time for the release of the film Dalí Land, scheduled for September 2022. 200 de la Commune Street West, Montreal.

Visitors can purchase their tickets for November online, starting Friday, October 22 at Divina Dali
