What’s being billed as the largest electric vehicle charging station between Albany and Canada is now up and running off Exit 29 of the Adirondack Northway in North Hudson, New York. The travel plaza has 12 high-speed electric chargers, 8 Tesla chargers and 4 EVolve NY chargers installed by the New York Power Authority.
Mo Ahmed, who owns the Frontier Town Gateway Trading Post & Restaurant next door says he plans to install 4 more EVolve NY chargers and another 8 Tesla chargers by the end of the year, eventually bringing the total to 24.
Jim Bright with the New York Power Authority says they hope to more than double the number of high-speed chargers along Interstate Highways across New York State within the next year or two.
