2CELLOS  “SCORE ” in Montreal!

If you watched the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, you might have heard selections of 2CELLO’s haunting arrangement of Piazzolla’s Oblivion, during this year’s figure skating programs.

The dynamic Slovenian-Croatian cellist duo, consisting of classically trained Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser are currently on a World tour with scheduled performances across Canada :

Toronto April 12th and 13th at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts,

Ottawa April 15th at the National Arts Center

Hamilton on the 16th at the First Ontario Concert Hall.

2CELLOS have gained world recognition for their instrumental arrangements of well-known pop and rock songs as well as for classical and film music.

The electrifying duo will be performing pieces from their latest album ‘Score’ ,that was released last March 17th 2018.   Expect to hear fan favorites such as “My heart will go on” as well as the widely popular Despacito !

The Montreal Chamber Music Festival takes over the ballroom at the Ritz!

To celebrate the arrival of spring, from June 1st to 17th, The Montreal Chamber Music Festival will offer a series of 15 concerts under the theme “Right to the heart

With this year’s 23rd edition paying particular attention to the beauty of the cello, a special spring series “Rendez-vous au Ritz” will invite families and music lovers to three of their Sunday lunch concerts held in the elegant hotel’s ballroom on Sunday, from 10 am to noon, on April 15th , 29th  and May 20th .

These one-hour concerts will feature students from the Montreal Conservatory of Music and their “mentors”.

April 15th: Humorist and clarinetist Christopher Hall will launch the first concert with his Andara Quartet. They will play Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach and Brahms.

On April 29, The Festival’s Artistic Director Mr. Denis Brott and Bruno Tubon both on the cello, will join Isabella Perron (violin and viola) and Abby Walsh (violin) to perform various works by Handel, Halvorsen, Bach, Kummer and Arensky.

On May 20, pianist Richard Raymond, a professor at the Conservatory, will give a recital with one of his students, the young Sarah Oulousian.

AUTISM  celebrated at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts:

 This Saturday, April 14th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in honor of World Autism Month, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA), is hosting a series of free activities for people with autism of all ages – children and adults – as well as for their families and friends.

The general public is also invited to meet these unique individuals and learn about an innovative research project headed by neurobiologist Bruno Wicker.

This event, is hosted as part of the latest MMFA’s program The Art of Being Unique .

Throughout the day, the Museum’s mediators and volunteers who work for the participating organizations will be on hand to oversee art activities and raise awareness about autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
