A drive-thru food giveaway gave out more than 3,000 boxes of dairy products and produce, and nearly 5,000 gallons of milk to hundreds of families that waited for hours in their cars at the SUNY Plattsburgh Field House. Glazier’s Packing Company in Malone organized the food-drive with JCEO and the Salvation Army, as part of a USDA grant. Two more drive-thru food drives are being held this weekend on Sunday, June 7th from 9am-12pm at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Malone, New York, and then again next weekend, June 14th from 9am-12pm at Massena High School in Massena, New York. Shawn Glazier, the owner of the company, and NYS Assemblyman Billy Jones talk about how the food-drive also helped dairy farmers who have lost a lot of their majority of their business supplying schools and restaurants during the pandemic.
