CV-TEC Students Receive FAA Certification

A milestone for 7 students at CV-TEC, now certified to work in the aerospace industry. The students completed training & received their F-A-A certification to paint aircraft. Morgan Knapton, an engineer with BETA Technologies, and one of the program’s lead instructors, teamed up with CV-TEC to teach students in the school’s collision repair class how to paint the electric aircraft that BETA Technologies will be manufacturing at its factory in Vermont.

BETA Technologies is planning a 40-million-dollar expansion of its operation at the Plattsburgh Airport where it will paint, and conduct test flights, of its electric aircraft. Right now, that expansion includes plans to hire as many as 85 workers, including several of the CV-TEC students.
