Eclipse Eats Cook In! | March 10, 2024

Join Mountain Lake PBS and The Carriage House Cooking School on March 10th for a celestial culinary experience. It’s the Eclipse Eats Cook In!

Inspired by the 2024 Solar Eclipse, this interactive virtual cooking class plays with colorful dark and light plating. Chef Curtiss Hemm will take you on a flavorful journey of savory delights and culinary constellations.

This class is suitable for cooks of all skill levels – from absolute newbies to seasoned foodies. Sharpen your skills alongside Chef Hemm in a virtual class from the comfort of your own kitchen, as Chef guides you through the menu — demonstrating techniques and answering all your questions.

Thanks for hosting this nice event. It was different and a fun way to spend a Sunday evening. Chef Hemm is very entertaining and relaxed about his cooking, so we felt welcome to experiment with cooking in our own kitchen.

Menu

Inspired by the 2024 total eclipse, this menu plays with light and dark plating. A printable recipe packet and shopping list will be sent to participants 7 days in advance.

Does each person at my location need a reservation?

No! Cook In is perfect for a date night or small dinner party. One reservation may cover multiple people at the same location.

What if I don’t have some of the items on the shopping list?

It’s our goal to make this event as accessible as possible. All items will be easy to find at your local grocery store, and Chef Hemm will also offer substitutions, just in case!

What about dietary restrictions?

Chef Hemm is happy to provide substitutions and suggestions to accommodate for specific dietary needs.

What does my donation support?

Does my donation for Cook In include access to Passport?

Any donation of at least $5/month or $60 grants you access to PBS Passport!

The format was great because we both felt connected to the live event happening AND we were able to make jokes, be loud, and be merry without worrying about disrupting other groups.
