Community Responding to COVID-19 | MLJ Interview

We talk with the United Way’s John Bernardi on the growing demand for services in the wake of the Coronavirus Outbreak, and thousands of people losing their jobs across the North Country. Also, the United Way’s plea for donations of cloth face masks for essential workers on the front lines of the pandemic, and the “Virtual” Week of Caring this week that has encouraged people to send messages of thanks to health care workers and emergency workers, as well as donate to special funds (North Country Chamber of Commerce’s Feed the Front Lines, and Adirondack Foundation’s SUN Fund, which is assisting non-profits helping people in need) set up to help feed workers on the front lines and families in need of food or other help during the crisis.
