Community Leaders Discuss Impact of New Federal Funding for Opioid Crisis

We talk with two community leaders with the SPARCC coalition who are on the front lines of the opioid crisis in the North Country, Connie Wille with Champlain Valley Family Center and John Bernardi with the United Way of Adirondack Region. They talk about newly expanded treatment options in the North Country, including a new 18-bed detox and rehab unit that should be open in Schuyler Falls by this fall. They also talk about how the epidemic has created a crisis for families that has resulted in an urgent need for foster families in Clinton, Essex & Franklin Counties to care for children of addicts.
