The Lyrichorégra 20 Theater is a non-profit organization founded in 1976 by tenor Alain Nonat, with the help of many prominents members of the lyrical and dance circles across Canada and France.
The organization is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year by presenting the 27th edition of it’s young lyrical ambassadors Gala to be held next Saturday, November 20th at Salle Claude Champagne !
Yearly, young singers are welcome to submit their application and participate in a series of auditions and competitions culminating in an elaborate Gala where numerous bursaries, prizes and international contracts are awarded.
This year, 30 young opera soloists from seven different countries ( Canada, Germany, Slovakia, Switzerland, Italy , Korea and France ) shall be performing on the stage of salle Claude Champagne, accompanied by the new JAL chamber orchestra under the direction of Louise-Andrée Baril.
Concert attendees will be enchanted by excerpts from Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Puccini’s La Bohème, Rossini’s La Cenerentola, from Rigoletto, La Traviata and many more!
