A Cause That Affects Us All

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neurological disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks the protective covering (myelin) around nerve fibers in the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). This damage disrupts communication between the brain and the rest of the body, leading to a wide range of symptoms, including muscle weakness, balance issues, numbness, fatigue, and vision problems.

For those who may not know, Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world. Every day, 12 Canadians are diagnosed with the disease. MS is a chronic autoimmune condition that attacks the central nervous system, leading to unpredictable symptoms that vary from person to person. It primarily affects individuals aged 20 to 49, and its effects are lifelong.

MS Society of Canada does incredible work supporting people living with MS, advocating for their rights, and funding research to understand the disease and find a cure.

By attending this event, I’ll be supporting those efforts and helping to raise funds for the cause.

Key Guests and Speakers

I’m also looking forward to hearing from a number of inspiring individuals who are helping to make a difference in the MS community:

  • Diego Mena Martínez, Executive Director of MS Society of Canada – Quebec Division
  • Dr. Jack Antel, renowned MS researcher
  • Tommy Nguyen, Director at Desjardins and Co-Chair of Cocktail Signature SP 2024
  • Shahir Guindi, Ad. E., Partner at Osler and Co-Chair of Cocktail Signature SP 2024

It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the disease, connect with leaders in the business and healthcare communities, and be part of something truly meaningful.

Why I’m Excited to Be There

This event is about so much more than just a night out—it’s about making a tangible difference. I’m excited to be part of the effort to reach the $175,000 fundraising goal, and I truly believe that the money raised will help advance critical research and improve the lives of people living with MS.

If you’re interested, I’d love for you to join me in supporting this amazing cause.
