The $93-million expansion project at Plattsburgh International Airport is moving full speed ahead with the construction of new U.S. Customs facilities that airport management hopes will lead to carriers wanting of fly international flights out of Plattsburgh in the near future. Work is underway on a new air cargo distribution center. Also, a new carrier, SkyWest has been chosen to fly daily flights to Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C. beginning in August.
