Child Care Coordinating Council Of The North Country Provides Support For Families At Home

The mission of Child Care Coordinating Council of the North Country is to offer support to families and child care providers through “creative and dynamic programs, services, and resources,” and in light of recent events, this has become more important than ever. That is why CCCCNC has made it a priority to be available to answer people’s questions regarding child care during this time.

The family resource centers coordinators are working hard to conduct virtual check-ins and phone calls with families connected to their various programming and provide ways to engage from home.

Check out some of these online engagements below:

Virtual Play Groups – Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, CCCCNC will be posting links to their virtual play groups on their Facebook page for people to join and participate in.

North Country Parenting Support Group – They are also continuing to provide a virtual version of their North Country Parenting Support Group via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. For the next six weeks, the group discussions’ information will be posted about on their Facebook page, and the links to the Zoom meetings will be provided in the comments.

Weekly Newsletters – They have also created an agency-wide newsletter to be posted weekly on all three of their family resource center Facebook pages: Family Connections – PlattsburghFamilies-R-Us – Malone, and Family Matters – Tupper Lake. In these newsletters, Family Resource Center coordinators will share information about community resources and kid-friendly crafts and activities.
