In school or at home, Watch & Wonder!
During the 2022-23 school year, the Watch & Wonder block airs weekdays from 1-3 PM. Documentaries and episodes from NATURE, History Detectives, American Masters, and more encourage creativity with the arts, kick start innovation through STEM, and expand horizons with stories from across the globe!
The Watch & Wonder block is aimed at kids in grades 6-12, and is ideal for classroom viewing, distance instruction, and families looking to spend extra, quality time together.
Each week, we’ll highlight a show from our Watch & Wonder block, and share a PBS LearningMedia resource (grades 6-12). Follow along on the Watch & Wonder schedule page, or subscribe to our newsletter.
Mountain Lake PBS will continue to air the shows your family loves and relies on, like Sesame Street and Daniel Tiger for Pre-K and young learners, and Wild Kratts, Odd Squad and Molly of Denali for elementary age children. As always, other great PBS series and specials are available to stream on the free PBS Video and PBS KIDS Video apps.
Paired with programming in the Watch & Wonder block, educators and parents are encouraged to access the free, educational resources offered by PBS LearningMedia.
PBS LearningMedia provides original digital content and supplemental viewing guides for on-air programming that assist in learning. Special collections for each grade level make it easy for parents and teachers to select appropriate content if they are new to the service, and webinars and online support materials are available to help teachers make use of PBS LearningMedia as an integral distance learning tool.
