Just in time for the holidays, a small community has come together in the spirit of giving to team up with the American Legion to collect donations to repair 85 headstones that were damaged or destroyed at one of the oldest cemeteries in the Adirondacks, the Bouquet Cemetery in New Russia, New York. The vandals also stole special markers from the graves of veterans, some dating back to the Revolutionary War, which have now all been replaced. Police are still investigating who’s responsible for the vandalism.
