Here in Montreal , post-Halloween discussions may touch upon this very delicate and often taboo subject. However there is no better way to celebrate life than to face your own mortality :

Gen’s Delights presents a few current events that will help you discover Death, Rebirth  and revel in the joy of Life !


SALON OF DEATH

November 3 and 4, 2018 at the Montreal Convention Center

Sunday, November 4th  10:00 to 17:00

Get ready to face your own mortality  !

The Salon de la Mort is the first large-scale exhibition in Quebec that brings together the various funeral community players as well as end-of-life planning professionals. The general public is invited to come and ask questions about this delicate and taboo subject.

It is also an opportunity to create human contacts with professionals and to live a symphony of emotions in a benevolent and colorful environment.

EXPERIENTIAL AND CREATIVE SPACES

Exhibit participants will be invited to discover collaborative spaces, intercultural exploration, creation and meditation. True cultural components of the Salon of Death, these places specially designed for the event will breathe inspiration, reflection and appeasement for visitors.

Space Rituals – Five Cultures, Five Rituals: In this symbolic and social space, participants will discover the diversity of funerary rituals from one continent to another. A special nod to the evolution of rites in Quebec through the story of Urgel Bourgie.

The comedy drama EMMA PEETERS, directed by Nicole Palo hits theaters at the currently running CINEMANIA festival:

Synopsis:

Struggling Parisian actress Emma Peeters has to face the facts: she will never gain success on the silver screen. After a series of failures she decides to take matters into her own hands and commit suicide on her 35th birthday. However an encounter with Alex, a funeral home employee, just might be the light at the end of her tunnel…

Starring  Andréa FerréolMonia Chokri and Fabrice Adde this story definitely has a dark overall theme, however director Palo manages to keep you laughing throughout the entire film and make you reflect on the quality and value of your own life.

 

The CINEMANIA Film Festival is a francophone film festival founded in 1995 in Montreal. It is the only event dedicated solely to French – language cinema in Canada.

You can enjoy more than 50 films, (always screened in the original version with English subtitles) over 11 days! Running 1-11 November 2018.

Celebrate MUSIC and LIFE with FINAZ !

There is still time to celebrate life and discover the enthusiasm, beauty, and guitar virtuosity of FINAZ / Montréal , guitarist and member of the #Tuscan folk band Bandabardò, who will be performing tomorrow (November 4th – 5 pm ) at Casa d’Italia the best hits of his latest album #GuitaRevolution.

From October 25 to November 4, Finaz, will be engaged in a tour of nine dates in Québec, among which the most important is the concert at the Casa D’Italia , a symbolic place and reference point for all Italians living in Montreal.
