Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride in the North Country This Weekend!
Join the Adirondack North Country Gender Alliance for the 7th annual LGBTQI+ Pride Celebration on Saturday, October 1st from 12-4 PM in Plattsburgh, NY.
Free and family-friendly, the annual event celebrates LGBTQI+ History Month with a parade beginning at Redcay Hall on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus and ending at Trinity Park in downtown Plattsburgh.
This commemoration aims to bring members of the LGBTQI+ community, family members, and allies from across the Adirondack North Country, New York State, and Vermont together to stand side by side to affirm and promote diversity, love, acceptance, respect and unity.
The 7th annual LGBTQI+ Pride Celebration is proudly co-hosted by the Adirondack North Country Gender Alliance and Tobacco Free Clinton, Franklin, Essex.
Deputy Commissioner Jillian Faison, NYS Division of Human Rights, will facilitate two community events focusing on knowing your LGBTQI+ rights under New York State law.
The first session on Thursday, September 29th will be held at North Country Community College, with the second session on Friday, September 30th in the Alumni Conference Room at the Angel College Center on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus.
Both events are free for the public to attend and begin at 7:00 PM.
